The London Club was host again this year to the European Open, albeit earlier in the year than usual. The sunshine of last year was replaced by cold winds and rain this year during the practice rounds, which made the Tuesday and Wednesday a bit of slog.

The SWS continues to be popular. With the high winds the additional weighting will prove beneficial to help give the players stability . I made up a Callie FC with 100g weight for Darren Clarke. Darren used a prototype SWS Callie last year when he won in Holland.

Jean Francoise Remsey also took the new Tracy 3 in the SWS. The Tracy 3 has an interchangeable hosel system offering 4 different options. Jean prefered the mid slant hosel.

Simon Dyson also picked up a Lizzie, the mallet sister to the Tracy 3 in that it also has interchangeable hoseling. Simon preferred the plumber's neck hosel on his.

This week I also met up with Henrik Stenson to work on his putting, in which now is essentially a build up to the US Open in a few weeks time. As always it was good to spend time with Henrik who is always focused and whose work ethic is of the highest order.

During the practice days I also spent some time with Oliver Wilson and Oliver Fisher too, despite the gale force winds and rain!
