It was great to be at one of my favourite golfing locations this week. St Andrews is a magical place to be and has a special atmosphere. The weather however was not so special, cold winds, freezing temperatures and rain meant it was a quite couple of days over the practice rounds. From a product perspective the weather and the disjointed nature of the event (3 courses being used) meant there were very few guys trying or testing new equipment.

It felt like winter at the Belfry this week for the British Masters. Waterproofs were required on the putting green to keep out the cold winds that were blowing across Sutton Coldfield.

A reduced field for the Mercedes Championship at the Gut Larchenhof Club didn’t stop the putting green being a busy place this week.

A very busy couple of day at Gleneagles. It was great to catch up with Darren Clarke and congratulate him on his win last week in Holland. Since he picked up a ‘Callie’ with a prototype shaft and weighting system he has seen a return to form on the greens.

The venue was in Holland but the weather seemed very much British during the practice days for the Dutch Open at the Kennemer Golf Club in Zandvoort, near Amsterdam. Wind and showers hampered the players in the preparation and didn’t make my job any easier either.

After a few weeks off due to the World Championship events and the USPGA it was good to get back out to Arlandastaad near Stockholm for the Scandinavian Masters.

An enjoyable few days at Royal Birkdale for the British Open. Especially enjoyable as its in my home town of Southport. From a product point of view its a pretty quite event as not many people are looking to pick up new equipment this week with it being such an important event. However with a few guys qualifying with whom I work with it made it a little more interesting.

The stunning setting of Loch Lomond was the venue this week for the Scottish Open. This is one of the best events of the year as the scenery and the location are out of this world.

It was back to the UK this week for the European Open at the London Club.  A quite couple of days on the green. Pelle Edberg requested a Sandy that sat slightly open. Pelle has been using the new Sandy model since Austria, a few weeks back, so we made one up in the tour van to suit.

Le Golf National near Paris has some great practice facilities and probably the biggest putting green of the courses we will visit this year on the European Tour. However the practice days were a pretty quite couple of days in the build up to the event.
