The London Club was host again this year to the European Open, albeit earlier in the year than usual. The sunshine of last year was replaced by cold winds and rain this year during the practice rounds, which made the Tuesday and Wednesday a bit of slog.

As always an enjoyable couple of days at Wentworth for the BMW Championship. The venue is a great setting which creates a nice atmosphere for the players and spectators alike.

It was a cold and windy couple of days in Ireland for the Irish Open at Baltray Golf Club County Louth. It felt more like winter than spring on what looked a fantastic links course, which I'm sure all the players will enjoy playing this week.

Turin, Italy was the next stop on the European Tour this week for the Italian Open. The practice days were basked in sunshine which enabled the guys to get some good preparation in, on what should be an exciting week on a great golf course. The greens have superb surfaces and also very tricky.

This week I would have normally been in Lisbon, Portugal for the Estoril Open European Tour event. However instead I spent the week at the Shell Houston Open at the Redstone Golf Club in Texas.The tournament is last event before the Masters and will a 'stella field' consisting of 16 of the top 20 from the world rankings it appeared on paper to be a potentially exciting event.

The European Tour took itself back to Europe this week for the Spanish Open at PGA Cataluña. The first of a run of events on the continent and UK.A fantastic course and facilities for the guys and hopefully some nice weather after the strong winds and cold temperatures last week in Korea.

I was back out on the European Tour this week for the Andalucian Open in Seville. A great golf course and facilities that was host to the Spanish Open last year.Unfortunately on the Tuesday it rained most of the day so the putting green was pretty quite. However it was still a busy day catching up with some of the guys and showing them the new product Yes! have ready.

It was good to get back out to the European Tour again to see some of the guys and show them the new product, as well help them with their preparation at the start of a new season. The new models Yes! Golf will be releasing this year seemed to very popular, keep an eye on www.yesgolf.co.uk or www.yesgolf.com for release dates. The dawn in particular got a great repsonse from the players, some of them placing orders for when it is released.

My last event of the year brought me to the Club De Campo Del Mediterraneo near Valencia. Not an overly busy couple of days at the Club De Campo, mainly as it was the last regular event of the tour schedule and everybody has their heads down fighting for something, whether it be tour card or top 60.

Victoria Golf Course, Vilamoura, in the Algarve is the venue for the Portuguese Masters this week. The practice days were warm and sunny which was a welcome relief from the cold and wind we suffered at St Andrews.
