COACHING - HAROLD SWASH COACHING PRINCIPLES As well as drawing upon experiences from a lifetime in golf a major influence in Harold's coaching is his experience as a production engineer. Indeed it was through the application of physical laws and principles that Harold first theorised on what the required mechanics of putting should be. Harold's coaching is therefore based upon scientific principles that will enable the pupil to develop a putting stroke that is less reliant on hand eye co-ordination and feel and one that is repeatable and reliable under pressure. Harold has 4 fundamentals that represent the corner stone of his teaching. |

TRUE ROLL - THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE The guiding principle that governs Harold's coaching and blends together his four fundamentals is the need to develop a true roll on the ball. The quicker a ball starts to roll after impact the better chance it has of staying on its intended line with its intended pace. It is the underlying principle that directs Harold's coaching. Harold's views on the mechanics of the stroke such as the stance, posture, stroke plane and the grip just to name just a few are all geared to helping you achieve this basic principle. |
